Knightsbridge Proudly Supports the LOROS Twilight Walk for the 10th Year

For the 10th consecutive year, the Knightsbridge team was honoured to support the incredible LOROS Twilight Walk, one of Leicester’s most loved fundraising events.

This year’s event was another fantastic evening filled with smiles, community spirit and an overwhelming sense of togetherness. Our team - Chris, Sarah, Clarice, Stacey and Yvonne - were once again stationed at Victoria Park, where we spent the evening handing out sweets to the amazing walkers taking part. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying a little sweet treat to keep them going as they completed their challenge.

Supporting an Incredible Local Charity

LOROS is a charity that provides compassionate hospice care and support for terminally ill adult patients, as well as their families, across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Their work extends far beyond hospice care, offering emotional support, counselling, bereavement services and specialist care both within the hospice and in people’s own homes.

Events like the Twilight Walk play a vital role in raising the funds needed to help LOROS continue delivering these essential services. Every walker, volunteer, organiser and supporter contributes towards making a real difference to local families when they need it most.

We’re incredibly proud to play a small part in helping such an inspiring charity each year.

A Decade of Community Support

Reaching our 10th year of supporting the LOROS Twilight Walk makes this year’s event even more special.

As an independent local estate agent, being part of our community has always been about far more than buying, selling and letting homes. We believe in giving back and supporting the charities and organisations that make Leicester such a fantastic place to live.

Seeing familiar faces return year after year, alongside so many first-time walkers, reminds us just how generous and caring our local community really is.

Our Young Apprentice Volunteers Stole the Show

This year we also had some very enthusiastic extra helpers!

Our two young apprentice volunteers, aged 7 and 5, joined us at the sweets station and absolutely loved every minute. They took their important role very seriously, helping to hand out sweets, greeting walkers and sharing plenty of smiles and encouragement throughout the evening.

Watching them interact with so many wonderful people was a real highlight, and it was lovely to see how warmly everyone responded to their enthusiasm. Community spirit is something that’s worth passing on to the next generation, and they certainly embraced the occasion.

A Perfect Summer Evening at Victoria Park

Adding to the atmosphere was the Leicester Hot Air Balloon Festival, which was also taking place in Victoria Park on the same evening.

The park was buzzing with people enjoying everything the city had to offer, creating a fantastic summer atmosphere from start to finish. Families, walkers, volunteers and visitors all came together to enjoy a beautiful evening, making Victoria Park feel like the heart of the community.

It was one of those occasions that perfectly showcased what Leicester is all about – people supporting local charities, enjoying local events and coming together to make lasting memories.

Thank You to Everyone Who Took Part

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who walked, volunteered, donated and organised this year’s LOROS Twilight Walk.

Your fundraising and support help ensure LOROS can continue providing outstanding care and support to local people and their families when it matters most.

We’re already looking forward to returning next year and continuing a tradition that has become incredibly important to everyone at Knightsbridge.

Here’s to year number eleven!
