Knightsbridge Estate Agents recently dove headfirst into the Swimathon organised by the Rotary Club of Oadby. Our strokes weren’t just about reaching the finish line; we were about making a splash for a cause close to their hearts. With determination and dedication, the team not only conquered the waters but also raised an impressive £300 for charity.
Sarah, Luke, Jake, Jessica, Denise, Bethany, Alfie, Drew & Hannah all took part in the annual event hosted by the Rotary Club of Oadby, which serves as a platform for local businesses and individuals to come together to support. This is our 4th time taking part in the event and we admire all the dedication from the volunteers at the Rotary Club of Oadby who organise the event.
Between our two teams we swam 230 lengths and raised £300. This will go towards the amazing work of the Rotary Club of Oadby which includes: running a Memory Cafe once a month for people with dementia and their carers to come together and meet others in the community, campaigning to reduce the usage of single use plastic in Oadby via Plastic Free Oadby, a project run jointly with other local community groups. Providing volunteers and organising food donations for Oadby Food Bank. Improving the local environment by planting trees, flowers and bulbs and litter picking. Fundraising for local charities in Leicestershire.
